Gregg was born on November 1, 1957 in Cortez, Colorado to parents Jack and Idris (Drury) Clements. Gregg and sister Pam grew up in many places in the United States, as Jack’s job took them to different cities. They settled in Brazos Valley area in the 1970’s. Gregg graduated from Sealy High School in the year 1976.

As a young man Gregg enjoyed skiing trips and spending time with friends and family. He graduated from Texas Tech with an engineering degree in 1980. Gregg was employed as a supervisor at Bren-Tex Mills. He soon traveled to California to work in the textile industry and further his career.

After a few years, Gregg felt it was time for a change, and he took a position with Merrill Lynch. He returned to the Sealy area and started a company that provided seimic equipment to the oil and gas industry. He also worked with his father Jack, who represented Opseis in Tulsa.

Gregg was a hard worker and was always on the lookout for new opportunities. He made the decision to attend law school. He graduated from Western Michigan University’s Thomas Cooly Law School in Lansing. Gregg then returned to his roots and in 2005 he established his own practice in Sealy, Clements Law Firm PLLC. Gregg’s generous nature shone through in his work, as he took on many cases pro bono for clients who were unable to pay for representation.

Gregg was an extrovert and a jokester, he made friends wherever he went and seemed to have a good rapport with everyone. In his spare time, he enjoyed taking his boat off the coast to go deep-sea fishing. Gregg was a devoted son and never missed an opportunity to visit his parents in Brenham.

Gregg is survived by: his parents Jack and Idris Clements; sister Pam Williford (husband Hearne); nephew Matt Williford; niece Shannon Pickard and her children Olivia and Oliver. He is also survived by his close friend Eric Dickerson; friend and legal secretary Diane Molina and her husband Greg. Gregg was blessed with too many wonderful friends and loved ones to mention, but he loved you all very much. Special thanks to his dedicated caregivers, Rosemary Gonzalez and Melanie Watts who have provided the family with so much assistance.

Gregg is preceded in death by both sets of grandparents.

Pallbearers will be Matthew Williford, Doug Coykendall, Jeremiah Coykendall, Adam Kucera, Thad Clemens, John Coykendall, and Jeff Coykendall. Honorary Pallbearers are Sonny Clements, Ronald Clements, Terry Thompson, Kevin Carter, and all the Austin Co. Courthouse Personnel, who Gregg so enjoyed working with.
