Gloria Schwartz Klussmann, 75, of Brenham passed away, March 21, 2022 at her residence. She is the wife of Raymond Klussmann.
A visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, March 24, 2022 at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, March 25, 2022 at Grace Lutheran Church with Pastor Matthew Jacob and Pastor William Holzer officiating. Interment will follow at Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery at William Penn.
Gloria was born July 28, 1946 to Henry and Lydia Boenker Schwartz. She was baptized and confirmed at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in William Penn. On June, 25, 1966 she was united in marriage to Raymond Klussmann at Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
Gloria loved spending time with her family, friends and especially her grandkids. She was a long-time member of Grace Lutheran Church and served in the Grace Evening Lutheran Women’s Missionary League. Gloria worked for 35 years as teacher and library aide at Brenham Middle School. She also loved cooking for family and friends, fishing, gardening, hiking, “Fun Runs”, and playing pitch.
Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Raymond Klussmann; sons, Bertrand Klussmann and spouse Robin, Bradley Klussmann and wife Cristine, Brian Klussmann and wife Danielle; brothers and sisters-in-law, Milton and Shirley Schwartz, Edward Schwartz, Trenton Schwartz, Sandra Schwartz, and Marie Schwartz; sister, Geraldine Pohlmeyer; grandchildren, Molly Klussmann, Ryan Klussmann, Addie Klussmann, Amelia Klussmann, and Corbin Klussmann. She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Lydia Schwartz, brothers, Edgar Schwartz, Kenneth Schwartz, and brother-in-law, Glen Pohlmeyer.
Pallbearers are Gerald Pohlmeyer, Kenneth Dean Schwartz, Robert Schwartz, Brett Bortnem, Jordan Schwartz, Jeff Schwartz, Scotty Thornton, and Cole Klussmann.
