Gerald Weigelt

Gerald Dane “Lumpy” Weigelt, 65, died August 9, 2019, at his residence.

Funeral services for Lumpy will be held at St. Paul Lutheran Church of Rehburg, on Thursday, August 15, 2019 at 10:00 a.m., with Pastor Dennis Shaw officiating. Interment will follow at Loewe Cementery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 14, 2019, from 6-8p.m. at Memorial Oaks Chapel.

Lumpy was a member of St Paul Lutheran Church. He enjoyed deer hunting, taking care of his cattle, and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. He also enjoyed going to the 4-G Country Store, and being with his friends, and staying in tune with the latest news. Lumpy never meet a stranger. Lumpy was a 1972 graduate of Burton High School.

Survivors include his daughters, Rhiannon and Lydia Weigelt, brothers, Timothy and Lori Weigelt, Neil Weigelt, sister Bonnie Weigelt, nephew Wade and Kristen Weigelt, and nieces, Kasia and Jeff Chovanec, and Blair and Jason Shiba, great nephews Zachary and Carter Weigelt and Spencer Shiba, great nieces, Camdyn Chovanec and Mia Shiba, uncle and aunt, O’Neil and Edna Weigelt and numerous other cousins and friends. Lumpy was preceeded in death by his parents Mervin and Geraldine Weigelt.

Pallbearers are Wade Weigelt, Randall Kohring, Jeff Chovanec, Willie Mckenzie, Charlie Stark, Gary Gaskamp, Terry Korthauer and Bobbie Kloecker. Honorary Pallbearers are Douglas Harmel, Joe Neinast, Darrell Neutzler, Douglas Ullrich, Dale Guelker, and all of his 4G family and friends.

Memorials may be given to St. Paul Lutheran Church of Rehburg.

Arrangements for Gerald Weigelt are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main, Brenham.
