Gary Gene Lange, 81, of Brenham, died September 16, 2025, at his home in Brenham.
Gary was born September 10, 1944, in Brenham, Washington County, Texas, to Chester Eugene Lange and Earle Adair Wasson Lange. His favorite childhood memory was prowling around town with his dog Bingo. Gary loved being outdoors on a ranch more than being in school. His first job was on a ranch, and he continued to work on his own ranch until his last days.
Gary was baptized at First Baptist Church in Brenham. He graduated from Brenham High School and went on to study Ranch Management at Texas Christian University. He served in the Army National Guard for six years.
On July 28, 1967, Gary married the love of his life and mother to his 3 children, Donna Day Lange. Gary and Donna were inseparable. In the early years, they enjoyed trail rides, dances, and time with friends. Gary was often the life of the party and loved to entertain everyone. Together, Gary and Donna started several businesses, including Circle L in 1976, and Computer Helpers in 1991. Besides his kids and grandkids, Gary's ranch and the continued success of Computer Helpers are the things he was most proud of.
After the kids were grown, Gary and Donna's home became the gathering place, not just for the kids and grandkids, but all their friends as well. Almost every summertime weekend, the pool was full of kids, there was meat on the pit, and no one ever left hungry. Thanksgiving was their favorite holiday to host and always included skeet shooting between the meal and watching football.
After Donna's passing in December 2013, Gary found companionship in long-term family friend, Ruby Kobs. This friendship blossomed into a second love for them both, and they were married April 26, 2015. There they enjoyed times by the poolside with family, moments spent with their beloved animals, and dancing to classics with each other.
Gary Lange is survived by his children, Dant Lange (Stacey Hamby), daughter-in-law Stacy Willis Lange, Brandi Conway, Harper and Natalie Lange, all of Brenham. Grandchildren Jacob (Mishon) Lange, Josh (Sarah) Lange, Katie Lange, Garrett Robertson, Cash Conway, Carli (Adam) Sebesta, Jimmy Heritage, and Tice and Slade Lange.
