Fred Wayne Bage

Frederick Wayne “Fred” Bage, 73, of Somerville, TX, died on July 12, 2023.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 21, 2023 at Prairie Lea Cemetery with Pastor Charles Cole officiating.

Fred was born on August 15, 1949 in Brenham, TX to Ewald Bage and Julia Debartolo Bage. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree at Sam Houston State University and worked as a sales representative. 

In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, swimming, watching football, the Houston Astros, and Naked and Afraid.

Fred is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law:  Freddie and Jeff Anastasi of Somerville, TX, Shaye Mai of Georgetown, TX, and Charlie and Jim Jones of Sealy, TX; grandchildren:  Ashley Wallace, Rachel Brisco, Alison Brisco, Phoenix Anastasi, Shaylen Bage, Aaron Bage, Layla Bage, Shawna McDaniel, JJ McDaniel, Garrett Jones, and Dalton Jones; great-grandchildren:  Landon Riter, Emmitt Reynolds, Phoenix Anastasi, Adrien Bradford, Alice Bradford and Axon Bradford, and Braxton Reynolds who is due any day.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ewald and Judy Bage; wife, Lillie “Janie” Mahan Bage; and brother, Joey Bage.
