Frances Ligues

Frances Ligues, 83, died October 3, 2019 in Brenham.

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, October 6, 2019 at Bethany Christian Church in Burton, with Bob Hofmann officiating.

Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery in Burton. Visitation will be from 4 until 6 p.m. Saturday at Memorial Oaks Chapel.

Frances Ligues was born January 29, 1936 in Burton to Tito and Chona Regino Ligues. She was baptized at the First Baptist Church in Somerville. Frances was an LVN nurse for over 50 years, and served as a health caregiver for many in the Brenham area.

Survivors include her brother and sister-in-law Johnny and Darlene Ligues of Brenham; sister, Victoria Meschewitz of Brenham, and Pas Kellogg of Macedonia, Michigan. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Frances was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Willie and Ambrosio Ligues; one sister, Margaret and two brothers-in-law.

Pallbearers include Wesley Brinkmeyer, Ryan Stegmann, Arturo Mayo, Benjamin Ligues and John Gannis.

Memorials may be directed to Bethany Christian Church or to Hospice Brazos Valley.
