Florence Mae Henske Rinn, 85, went to be with her Lord and Savior on August 19, 2026. She was born on November 5, 1940, in the New Wehdem community to Arthur W. Henske and Meta Arning Henske.

Florence was baptized and confirmed at St. James Lutheran Church of New Wehdem, where she remained a lifelong member. She married the love of her life, Leeland Royce Rinn, on February 4, 1967, at St. James Lutheran Church of New Wehdem, with Willard Rother officiating. Florence and Leeland shared 54 years of marriage together.

Florence attended New Wehdem School and Kenny School before graduating from Bellville High School in 1959. Following high school, her family moved to Brenham, where they built a new home. Florence began working as a desk clerk at the South Park Motel, which was built at the same time.

Florence later worked for the Willie Kmiec family for 29 years. During that time, she became very close to the Kmiec family, who lovingly considered Florence a "sister" of their family. She treasured their love and friendship and considered them family, as she had no brothers or sisters of her own. Florence then worked at Germania Insurance Company in Brenham for 17 years before retiring.

Florence will be remembered for her deep faith, loving heart, and devotion to the people she held dear. She cherished her family and friends and was grateful for the many relationships that blessed her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur W. Henske and Meta Arning Henske; her husband, Leeland Royce Rinn; and her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Joyce Mae and Delbert Arndt.

Florence is survived by her niece, Betty Arndt Kramer of New Ulm, Texas; the Willie and Stella Kmiec family; the Carol and Terri Johnson families; our Missouri family; the Erwin and Kay Sander families; and the Gretchen Yount family.

Visitation for Florence will be held on Sunday, August 23, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at St. James Lutheran Church of New Wehdem, located at 10362 New Wehdem Road, Brenham, Texas. Funeral services will begin at 3:00 p.m., with Pastor Mark Neumann officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Bruce Buenger, Darren Haviescher, Carroll Johnson, Jett Johnson, Kelton Galle, Erwin Sander, Brett Sander, and Blake Sander. Serving as honorary pallbearer will be Gretchen Yount.

Memorial donations may be made to the St. James Lutheran Church of New Wehdem Building Fund in Florence's honor.
