Emilia Anastasia Kasparek, 79, passed away on August 30, 2025. Emilia was born on August 11, 1946 in McAllen, Texas to Richard, Sr and Mary Gregorcyk.

Emilia loved to cook and bake for her family as she was very devoted to them and her loving husband of 59 years, Edward Kasparek. She loved the beach and when she was there collecting seashells and fishing was always a fun pastime for her. She also loved collecting bells and angels but if you ask her family she perked up and loved Kenny Rogers music the most and it would brighten her day.

Emilia was preceded in death by her parents, her in-laws and her brother, Richard Gregorcyk, Jr. Emilia is survived by her devoted husband of 59 years. Their earthly parting was brief as he followed her into eternal life within hours. She is also survived by her children, Carl (Judy) Kasparek, Mary (Paul) Hightower, brothers, Joe (Sue) Gregorcyk, Nick (Joan) Gregorcyk, John Gregorcyk, Michael (Brenda) Gregorcyk; sister-in-law, Virginia Gregorcyk and Paula Means; sister, Mary (John) Cash; brother-in-law, James (Debie) Kasparek; grandchildren, Cody (Hanna) Hightower and Carleigh (Colton) Schubert; great- grandchildren, Harper Hightower and Caisley Schubert, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Emilia will be held on Wednesday, September 3, 2025 from 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm at Memorial Oaks Chapel located at 1306 West Main Street, Brenham, Texas. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 4, 2025 at 10:00 am at Christ Lutheran Church located at 1104 Carlee Street, Brenham, Texas with the burial to follow at Prairie Lea Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be: James Kasparek, Paul Hightower, Cody Hightower, Colton Schubert, Matt Kasparek and Brett Hirsch. Honorary pallbearers include, Elizabeth Przyborski and Elexus Johnson.

The family would like to thank the staff of Brenham Nursing and Rehab and Amedisys Hospice for their care and support.

Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Foundation of America.
