Elaine Duron

July 22, 1956 — May 26, 2019

Elaine Ann Duron, beloved wife, daughter, sister, mother, and grandmother, was called home on May 26, 2019 after a courageous battle with cancer. Her life will be celebrated with visitation on Thursday, May 30, 2019 at Memorial Oaks Chapel in Brenham, from 5-7 pm. Services will be Friday, May 31, 2019 at 10:00 am at Nelsonville Brethren Church.

Elaine was born July 22, 1956 in Bellville, Tx to John and Clara Susen. She attended Welcome School and Bellville High School, where she graduated in 1974. On June 22, 1979, she married Daniel Duron Sr. They were married just a month shy of 40 years at her passing. They enjoyed spending their spare time over the years at Balke's Store and Short Branch/Miss Bobi's where Elaine also worked part time. She spent her time in service of others working both at the Brenham Clinic and then at Baylor Scott and White Hospital in the surgery department. Elaine was also the acting president of SPJST and a member of Bleiblerville Volunteer Fire Department where she ran the live auction for the Annual Fish Fry for 18 years until her health prevented her from continuing. Though she loved serving others in her community, she mostly enjoyed spending time with her husband and family. Raising her 3 boys (along with the rest of the Bleiblerville kids) was her biggest accomplishment. She loved watching her boys grow into men and become husbands and fathers to their own children. A women of faith, Elaine knew that God had a plan for her life and death and held close to that faith until the end.

Elaine is survived by her husband of 39 years, Daniel Duron Sr; her children Daniel Duron Jr, Wife Ammie , and children Kelsey, Vinny, and MacKenzie of Bleiblerville; Christopher Duron, Wife Heather, and children Bradyn, Kylea, and Emma of Bellville; Michael Duron, Wife Joyce and children Delaney and Jacob of Bleiblerville; Sister Susie Thaler and husband Billy of Brenham; Brother John Susen Jr of Bleiblerville; Mother Clara Susen of Bleiblerville as well as numerous relatives and many friends.

Elaine is preceded in death by her father John Susen Sr.; Grandparents, Willie and Mary Susen and Emil and Albina Kolenovsky; Brother in Law Joe Duron; Grandson Dakota Duron and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Pallbearers; Terry Shupak, Gary Shupak, Kenneth (Spotty) Macat, Shane Siptak, James Lambright, and Kyle Wittner.

Honarary Pallbearers are Elaine's work family- the Baylor Scott and White Surgeons and surgical department.

A reception honoring Elaine's life will follow the service at Nelsonville Bretheran Church Fellowship Hall.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to all of the nurses and caregivers from Hospice Brazos Valley.
