Edward Kasparek

Edward Carol Kasparek, 82, passed away on August 31, 2025. Edward was born on December 9, 1942 in Bellville, Texas to Edward and Grace Kasparek.

Edward was a hard-working man. He earned a Certificate in Electronics, Television and Radio Course in 1964 and finished an Apprenticeship in Carpentry where he loved to be a carpenter and build projects for people. In 1964, Edward also joined the Army and then later the Air Force. He married his loving wife Emilia on April 22, 1966 and they spent 59 loving years together. Edward also loved to go deer hunting and fishing where he was a self-taught rod and reel builder. Edward and Emilia were both devoted to their family and to each other and both loved the beach, watching the shrimp boats and listening to the waves.

Edward was preceded in death by his loving wife of 59 years, Emilia Kasparek, his parents, his in-laws and his brother-in-law, Richard Gregorcyk, Jr. He is survived by his children, Carl (Judy) Kasparek, Mary (Paul) Hightower, brothers-in-law, Joe (Sue) Gregorcyk, Nick (Joan) Gregorcyk, John Gregorcyk, Michael (Brenda) Gregorcyk; sisters-in-law, Virginia Gregorcyk, Mary (John) Cash and Paula Means; brother, James (Debie) Kasparek; grandchildren, Cody (Hanna) Hightower and Carleigh (Colton) Schubert; great- grandchildren, Harper Hightower and Caisley Schubert, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Edward will be held on Wednesday, September 3, 2025 from 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm at Memorial Oaks Chapel located at 1306 West Main Street, Brenham, Texas. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 4, 2025 at 10:00 am at Christ Lutheran Church located at 1104 Carlee Street, Brenham, Texas with the burial to follow at Prairie Lea Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be: James Kasparek, Paul Hightower, Cody Hightower, Colton Schubert, Matt Kasparek and Brett Hirsch. Honorary pallbearers include, Elizabeth Przyborski and Elexus Johnson.

The family would like to thank the staff of Brenham Nursing and Rehab and Amedisys Hospice for their care and support.
