Dorothy Zuehlke

Dorothy Wiesepape Zuehlke, 84, of Brenham, died Sept. 30, 2003, in Bluebonnet Hills Care Center in Brenham. Mrs. Zuehlke was born June 18, 1919, in the Wiedeville community of Washington County, TX, to Charlie and Clara Bosse Wiesepape. She was baptized July 27, 1919, in Immanuel Lutheran Church of Wiedeville by Pastor K. Mueller and was confirmed March 25, 1934 in Immanuel Lutheran Church by Pastor Wm. Seidel. She attended school at Wiedeville. On Nov. 7, 1943, she married Herbert Zuehlke in Immanuel Lutheran Church in Wiedeville. She was a retired clerk at J.C. Penney and was a member of St. Paul s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Brenham. Mrs. Zuehlke was active in the Ladies Aid. Survivors include her husband, Herbert Zuehlke of Brenham; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Paul and Mavis Zuehlke of Bryan; and sister-in-law, Nelda Kankel of Brenham. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Herbert, Ed and Charlie Wiesepape; and sister, Elsie Schwarze. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, Oct. 3 in St. Paul s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Brenham with Pastor Lawrence Bade and Pastor Kim Little-Brooks officiating. Burial will be in Prairie Lea Cemetery in Brenham. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 2 in Memorial Oaks Chapel. Pallbearers will be Floyd Wiesepape, Wade Wiesepape, Clarence Wiesepape, Robin Sonsel, Carl Wiesepape, Robert Reichwein, John Reichwein, Craig Kaminski, and James Wiesepape. Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Wiesepape, Larry Wiesepape, Billy Kaminski, Garland Sonsel, and Franklin Schwartz. Memorials may be given to St. Paul s Evangelical Lutheran Church TV Ministry. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main St., in Brenham.
