Donald Weiss

Donald E. Weiss, age 90, of Brenham, Texas, passed away on December 16, 2023.

Donald was born on December 31, 1932, to Emanuel and Clara (Schroeder) Weiss, in Houston, Texas.

He graduated from Brenham High School in 1951 and attended classes at Blinn College and the University of Houston.

He was married to Norma Dawson Weiss on November 28, 1988.

He was a foreman at a sub station for Houston Lighting and Power until his retirement.

Donald was a member of Salem Lutheran Church of Salem. He liked to travel and watch sports on television. Early in life he was on a bowling team and played baseball in high school and at Blinn College. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Norma; his son, Jody Weiss; and his sister, Peggy Klingle.

Survivors include his son, Don W. Weiss and spouse Kathy of Brenham; son, Craig E. Weiss of Magnolia and daughter Ruzena Moore of Tomball. He is also survived by his sister, Shirley Schwarze of Bellville; four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 19th from 5:00-7:00 PM.

The Funeral Service will be on Wednesday, December 20th at 2:00 PM at Salem Lutheran Church of Salem with burial to follow at Prairie Lea Cemetery in Brenham.
