Dawn Coghlan

Dawn L. Coghlan, 64, of Brenham, wife of Robert C. Bob Coghlan, Jr. died Saturday, May 12 at the family residence in Brenham. Mrs. Coghlan was born August 19, 1942, in Mineral, Texas, to Paul H. and Myrle L. Page Looney. She attended Pettus High School in Pettus, TX and the Blinn Junior College Nursing School in Brenham. On August 19, 1962, she was married to Robert C. Bob Coghlan, Jr. Mrs. Coghlan spent her life providing care for those in medical need as a licensed vocational nurse. She was a member of St. Mary s Catholic Church in Brenham, Survivors include her husband, Robert Bob Coghlan, Jr.; sons & daughters-in-law, Robert Coghlan of Houston, Brett & Dee Coghlan and Brandon & Linda Coghlan of Brenham; brother, Paul H. Looney of Mineral, TX; sister Nancy Teeters of Victoria, TX and seven grandchildren. Funeral Mass for Dawn L. Coghlan will be celebrated Wednesday, May 16 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary s Catholic Church with Father Alberto Borruel, celebrant. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 15 at Memorial Oaks Chapel. The doctors, nurses and employees of Trinity Medical Center are considered Honorary Pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions be made to Hospice Brazos Valley, 302 East Blue Bell Rd., Brenham, TX 77833. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 west Main St., in Brenham.
