David Patrick Armentrout, 84, of Brenham, Texas passed away on January 16, 2026. David was born on August 11, 1941, in Nixon, Texas to William (Bill) Sr. and Nellie (Nell) M (Karcher) Armentrout.

David graduated from Travis High School in 1959 and headed off to college at Southwest Texas State in San Marcos and graduated in 1964. Making the decision that he wasn't finished with school, yet he graduated from Officer's Candidate School with the U.S. Army in 1969. During his time in the Army, he guarded the Russian/Germany border during the Cold War. When he returned home, he was a warehouse manager in charge of distribution until he retired. David carried his faith with him throughout his life and was a member of Lamb of God Lutheran Church in Humble, Texas.

David is preceded in death by his parents, his brother; Bill H Armentrout, Jr., brother-in-law; Braxton Fischer and father-in-law and mother-in-law; JD and Maxie Myers. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Dianna (Myers) Armentrout, sister; Thelma Jane Fischer, sister-in-law; Mabel Ann Armentrout, brother-in-law; Burl Myers and his wife Diane, along with several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held for David on March 13, 2026, at 11:15 am at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at Shelter 2 located at 1520 Harry Wurzbach Road, San Antonio, Texas.
