Concordia Manuel

Concordia Connie Manuel, 59, of Brenham, died Sept. 9, 2003, in St. Luke s Hospital in Houston. Mrs. Manuel was born August 14, 1944, in Santa Maria, Philippines, to Benjamin Gungon and Agatona Gimeno. She was baptized and confirmed in the Philippines. She earned a bachelor of science degree in nursing from the College of San Juan De Dios in Manila. On Sept. 30, 1970, she married Pedro Manuel, Jr. Mrs. Manuel was a nurse at Trinity Medical Center in Brenham for 20 years. Survivors include her husband, Pedro Manuel Jr. of Brenham; daughters and sons-in-law, Cheryl and Gustavo Guido of Houston and Shirley and Angel Lalic of San Francisco; grandchildren, Alexander and Zachary Guido; and sister, Violeta Gungon of the Philippines. The funeral Mass will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, Sept. 12 in St. Mary s Catholic Church in Brenham with Father David Ivey, celebrant. Burial will be in the Philippines. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 11 in Memorial Oaks Chapel. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main St., in Brenham.
