Clabourne Walter Vaughan, 68, of Brenham, TX, died October 8, 2003, at St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan. He was born in Gonzales County on June 16, 1935, to Scott and Persia King Vaughan. He was a retired truck driver. He is survived by his wife, Rozell; two daughters, Lenise Wilson and fiancé Duncan Little of Seabrook and Lynda Vaughan Carson and husband John of Tiki Island; two sons, Lynn Vaughan and wife Janet of Rockdale and Lonnie Vaughan of Bryan; a sister, Mary Smith of Sealy; a brother, Billy Vaughan and wife Frances of Temple; grandchildren, Charles, Christopher, Michael, Jennifer, Gina, Melissa, Lisa, Jaclyn and Theresa; 4 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Vaughan was followed in death a few hours later by a sister, Evelyn Atkinson, who died in the Bellville Hospital. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters and 5 brothers. The funeral service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 11 in Memorial Oaks Chapel with Rev. Larry Embry officiating. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, Oct. 10 in Memorial Oaks Chapel. Pallbearers will be Charles Vaughan, Christopher Vaughan, Michael Hilborn, Randy McGuire, Mark Pepitone, Josh Guy, Johnny Carson, Jeremy Carson and Cody Hernandez. Memorials in Mr. Vaughan s honor may be made to the American Heart Association, Barbara Kokemoor Memorial Chairman, c/o Brenham National Bank, P.O. Box 2568, Brenham, TX 77834-2568 or the American Kidney Foundation at 800-638-8299. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main St., in Brenham.
