Obituary

In Loving Memory of Charlotte Lunar Janak August 12, 1943 - October 16, 2026

Charlotte Lunar Janak, 83, passed away on October 16, 2026. Born in San Antonio, Texas, and raised in Houston, Charlotte spent most of her life in the city she called home.

A fiery redhead with a personality to match, Charlotte was full of life, outspoken, and never one to shy away from speaking her mind. She had a gift for storytelling and loved sharing memories, laughter, and experiences with family and friends. Whether reminiscing about days gone by or sharing one of her many stories, Charlotte had a way of making every conversation memorable. Charlotte had a love for the things that made life enjoyable. She loved cooking, listening to country oldies and jazz, and going to the theater. Whether enjoying a favorite song, preparing a meal, or sharing a good story, she appreciated life's special moments. Her love of music, food, and lively conversation reflected her vibrant and unforgettable personality. Above all, Charlotte loved her family. Lovingly known as "Mee Mee" to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, she cherished the moments spent with those closest to her. Her strong spirit, colorful personality, and love for her family made her truly one of a kind.

Charlotte is lovingly remembered by her three children, Rebecca Shaver and her husband, Richard Shaver; Michael Arcieri and his wife, Dawn Arcieri; and Kevin Arcieri and his wife, Rita Arcieri. She also leaves behind her six beloved grandchildren, Britan Counsil, Caitlyn Counsil, Destin Counsil, Easton Counsil, Rusty Arcieri, and Kevin Arcieri, Jr., as well as her five precious great-grandchildren, James Arcieri, Penelope Arcieri, Clementine Arcieri, Ari Alfred, and Skylar Counsil. Charlotte is also survived by her brother, Patrick Lunar and his wife, Jill Lunar, along with extended family and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin Lunar and Shirley Lunar, and her brother, Tommy Lunar. Though Charlotte's presence will be deeply missed, her stories will continue to be told, her memories treasured, and her fiery spirit remembered for generations to come.

A Loving Tribute from Her Family Mom, Mee Mee, you were truly one of a kind. You gave us stories to remember, memories to treasure, and a lifetime of moments that will forever be part of who we are. We will miss your voice, your laughter, your stories, and yes, even that fiery redheaded spirit that made you unmistakably you. Life will be a little quieter without you, but the memories you leave behind will continue to fill our hearts. We will carry your stories forward, share them with the generations to come, and smile when we remember the moments that could only have happened with you. Your red hair may have been your trademark, but your spirit was your legacy. Rest peacefully, Mom and Mee Mee. You will always be loved, forever remembered, and deeply missed.
