Cedric Mehlhorn-Hock

October 2, 1998 — December 16, 2019

Cedric Joachim Lutz Mehlhorn-Hock

He passed away at the age of 21 on December 16, 2019 at the family property in Burton.

Cedric was born October 2, 1998 in Houston, Texas, to Saskia Mehlhorn and Andreas Hock. Cedric grew up in Sugar Land, Texas, with a two year time period between the age of one and three spent living in Norway.

Cedric loved nature, animals of all types especially his sister-in-law’s dog Diesel, reptiles and insects. He was fascinated by paleontology and history. Cedric spent countless hours learning everything he could about the subjects that interested him. Cedric was also a talented model builder, he spent much of his free time assembling World War II models. He would over analyze every detail of the model and build a perfect replica. Cedric loved to travel and was fortunate enough that he got to visit many different countries in his life.

Everyone that had the pleasure of knowing Cedric knew him as a loving, compassionate, and caring person. He loved to share and would give any person the shirt off of his back. Cedric was known as a quiet reserved person, but once you got him talking he could talk for hours.

Cedric is survived by his mother and father, Saskia Mehlhorn and Andreas Hock; his brother and sister-in-law, Kejan Mehlhorn-Hock and Misty Mehlhorn; his grandfather Lutz Mehlhorn, his grandmother and grandfather, Sigrid Hock and Leo Hock; his best friends, Evan Ray and Matthew Smart; many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, coworkers and friends.

Cedric was preceded in death by his uncle Bjöern Mehlhorn; his grandmother Karin Mehlhorn; and his grandmother Christa Mehlhorn.

A memorial service will be held on Monday December 23rd, at 2pm, at St Paul Rehburg Lutheran Church, located at 4450 FM 1948 North, Burton.
