Carroll Kowis

Carroll Hamm Kowis, 71, died February 4, 2018 in Brenham.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, February 8, 2018 at Prairie Lea Cemetery, with Deacon Al Prescott officiating. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday at Memorial Oaks Chapel, with a Rosary scheduled for 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Carroll Kowis was born March 9, 1946 in Houston To Hurshal Howard and Bettsy Marie Rizzo Hamm. She worked as a secretary for a local plumbing company. Carroll was a member of the Prince of Peace Catholic Church of Cypress. Spending time with her family and watching her great-grandson play ball were favorite pastimes. She also enjoyed traveling.

Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Jimmie Kowis of Brenham; daughter, Shelly Hickman and husband, Jim, and a son, Chris Kowis, all of Brenham; grandchildren: Justin Hickman and Chelsea Hickman; great-grandchildren: Dalton Francis, Payden Francis, Haiden Hickman, and Gunner Hickman.
