Brian Ted
Davis
Nov 25, 1975 — Jun 24, 2026
Brian Davis, a loving and devoted husband and father, passed away suddenly June 24, 2026, at his farm in Chappell Hill, Texas. He leaves behind the family he loved so dearly.
Brian was born in Fort Worth, Texas on November 25, 1975, to Cathleen and Bob Davis. The family moved to Houston shortly thereafter. Growing up on the West side of Houston, school came easy to Brian. In sports, he excelled in baseball and swimming. And he loved the outdoors. He would spend hours on his bicycle exploring the bayou close to his home. In 1993 he became the state mountain bike champion for his age group. His love of the outdoors and physical activity continued throughout his life, as did the love for animals he learned from his mother.
Brian loved and was loved by his family, His Mee Mee and Papaw, Cathleen's parents and his cousins in Fort Worth were especially important to him, as was Cathleen's brother, Dr. James Gilley. Uncle Jamie was Brian's favorite. His Grandpa Red, Bob's dad, was especially important in later years. Family meant everything to Brian.
Brian graduated from Stratford High School in Houston and went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts in philosophy from the University of Houston. He worked for several years for a computer tech firm, then an investment management firm, and for an oil service firm. He then came to Chappell Hill to help his parents manage the family farm.
In 2011, Brian married the love of his life, Siri. After some time in Houston, they lived on their own farm in Chappell Hill. Brian and Siri have three children-Nora 13, a special needs child, Diana 11, a beautiful girl going to school in Brenham, and William Robert 4, a precocious and rambunctious boy. Brian absolutely loved his family. After Nora was born, Brian gave up most of his outside pursuits and became "Mr. Mom", while Siri continued her career as an accomplished offshore drilling engineer. Brian loved his children and was immensely concerned about their schooling and happiness. A day did not pass when he did not discuss how to get better schooling for Diana and William, and better care for Nora.
Brian had many interests. He loved cars and motorcycles and gadgets of every kind. That is something that Billy Bob has inherited. And Brian really loved setting off fireworks on the fourth of July.
Brian had a ferocious sense of fairness and justice. He abhorred hypocrisy wherever he saw it. This steely attitude helped Brian and Siri through an incredible ten-year fight with the Norwegian government over the injury to Nora which was the result of bureaucratic oversight. It was a very stressful struggle. But, eventually at the supreme Court in Norway, they won the case. Nora received a financial settlement, and the bureaucrats had to publicly apologize.
Brian is survived by his wife and children, his mom and dad, his sister Victoria McClune and her family, Siri's family, and his beloved cousins, uncles and aunts.
A memorial service is planned for Monday, July 13, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Chapel located at 1306 West Main, Brenham, Texas. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to honor Brian at Animal Friends of Washington County or Easter Seals of Greater Houston.
