Bob Dorow

March 16, 1957 — December 3, 2020

Heartbroken, our family sadly lost a brother, uncle, cousin and nephew on Thursday, December 3rd, 2020, when Bob Allen Dorow passed away in Brenham, TX.

Bob was born March 16, 1957 in Falfurrias, Texas to Henry A (Buddy) Dorow Jr. and Elaine McKean Dorow. Bob played tennis in high school and enjoyed music and dancing. He was a favorite among his classmates. He graduated from Raymondville High School in 1976. Bob attended and graduated from Southwest Texas State College. He worked as a Physical Education teacher and coach at Clemente Martinez Elementary School for 22 years.

Anyone who knew Bob knew his love for Disney. The cartoon character Mickey Mouse was his favorite. Bob even traveled to Paris, France to see Mr. Mouse. Like Mickey, Bob brought smiles, laughter and happiness wherever he went. Bob had an infectious smile that radiated to all around him. He has never met a stranger. Bob loved and was loved by many and found joy in church, family and friends.

Bob is survived by his sister, Lynda Sherman of San Angelo, sister and brother-in-law Debra Ann and Rick Eckert of Greenvine, brother and sister-in-law John and Susan Veselka Dorow of Lubbock. Aunt Clara Mae Deavers of Portland and Aunt and Uncle Chris and Richard Allen McKean of Austin. Nieces and nephews include Lillie Ann Cook, Debra Gatlin, Henry Gatlin, Michael Gatlin and Reed Yandell of San Angelo, Lacy Eckert of Greenvine, Luke Eckert and fiancée Stephanie Cutlip of Brenham, Ashley and Ashton Anderson of Abilene, Andrew and Tatum Dorow of The Woodlands as well as numerous great nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Bob will be missed by family and friends. We will cherish our memories with him and find comfort in knowing he has gone on to be with the Lord and those that have gone before him.
