Betty Loesch

Betty Louise Loesch, 76, wife of Melvin Loesch, died January 28, 2019 in Houston.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 9, 2019 at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Visitation will be from noon until service time at 1:00 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Chapel.

Betty Loesch was born November 27, 1942 in La Grange to Roland John and Eula Lee Maeckel Harbers. On July 25, 1965, she married Melvin Loesch in Grace Lutheran Church in Brenham.

Betty was employed as an office manager in a dental office. Later, she retired as a coach’s wife after spending a lot of time sitting on bleachers, watching sporting events. She treasured time spent with her family, and loved taking care of everyone. A strong-willed individual, she knew how to get things done. Camping was also a favorite pastime.

Survivors include her husband, Melvin Loesch of Sweeny; son and daughter-in-law Timothy and Kathi Loesch of Cibilo; daughter and son-in-law Kimberly and Mark Rosenbaum of Brenham; brother and sister-in-law Glenn and Kay Harbers of Dayton; grandchildren: Nicholas Loesch, Mason Rosenbaum, and Michael Rosenbaum. Other relatives surviving are nieces, Sharon Harbers and Rebecca Sellers. She was preceded in death by her parents.
