Barbara Risch

Barbara Anne Risch, 77, wife of Charles Risch, Sr., passed away October 11, 2012 at her residence. A Memorial Service is planned for 3 p.m., Saturday, October 13, 2012 at Fellowship Baptist Church, with Pastor Darren Donaldson officiating. Barbara was born April 26, 1935 in Hardscrabble, New York to Donald S. and Sara T. Ryder Derrick. A graduate of Alvin High School, she married Charles Risch on August 27, 1953 in Alvin, Texas at First Baptist Church. Barbara was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a homemaker, and a member of Fellowship Baptist Church of Brenham. Barbara is survived by her husband, Charles S. Risch, Sr. of Brenham; sons Daniel A. Risch of Pearland and Lester Scott Risch and wife Karyn of Friendswood; daughters Sally Ritter of Shreveport, LA and husband Charles, and Patty George and husband Gary of Lumberton. She is survived by grandchildren Sharla Cortinas and husband Manual of Pearland; Jessie Jobe and James Jobe, both of Tyler; Dustin Willingham and wife Krista of Humble, and Christopher Risch of Pearland; grandchildren Benjamin Risch, of Richardson and Brian Risch of Pearland; and great-grandchildren Caylin Cortinas, Lawson Cortinas and Shyanne Risch, all of Pearland. Barbara was preceded in death by a son, Charles Stephen Risch, Jr. Memorials may be directed to Fellowship Baptist Church.
