Annette Luedke

November 8, 1956 — December 9, 2023

Annette Luedke, 67, went to be with the Lord on December 9, 2023.

Annette was born on November 8, 1956 to Raymond and Annadell Hodde Blum in Brenham, Tx. She had a very happy childhood being raised by her loving parents who were devoted to each other and their faith in God. She was blessed to meet her lifelong friend, Hertha at the age of 5.

Annette met the love of her life, Billy John Luedke, at age 15. They married on August 9, 1975. They were blessed with 2 children, Matthew and Alyssa who were a joy to her life and never gave her any reason to worry. After Billy's death in 1992, she was sustained by the love of her children. She was very proud of how they grew into honest, responsible and genuinely good people with good hearts, strong faith and awesome work ethics.

In 2017 she was blessed with the birth of her grandson, Nico. They had special times planting seeds and watching them grow, collecting rocks and Nico singing while she played the "pianio" as he called it. In 2022 God blessed her again when she received the joy of the birth of her granddaughter, Abby.

She was baptized at Zion Lutheran Church on 12/16/1956 and later confirmed in the Lutheran faith on 04/04/1971.

Annette served at Zion Lutheran Church as a Sunday school piano player at a young age and continued into adulthood. She served as church organist for many years at Zion Lutheran at Zionsville, Immanuel Lutheran at Wiedeville and Peace Lutheran in New Braunfels. She was a member of the choir at all three churches as well.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Billy Luedke and her parents Raymond and Annadell Blum.

She is survived by her son Matthew John Luedke and companion Lisa Ybaben, her daughter Alyssa Ann Luedke Martinez and husband Paul Martinez; grandson Nicholas (Nico) John Martinez; granddaughter Abigail (Abby) Bree Martinez; brothers: Wayne Blum and wife Janie and Darrell Blum and wife Linda; nieces: Catherine Blum Kenjura, Emily Lee and Sarah Dildy; great nieces and nephews: Charlie Kenjura, John Kenjura, Caroline Kenjura, Margaret Lee, Henry Lee, Elizabeth Lee, Emily Griffin and Austin Dildy.
