Annegret (Anne) Schindehette, 84, of Brenham, went home to her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, November 12, 2025. Anne was born May 11, 1941 in Brooklyn, New York to Ludwig and Anna (Grimm) Klie. On September 4, 1960, she married Walter Peter Schindehette at Grace Lutheran Church in Queens Village, New York.
Anne was a devoted and loving wife, Mom, Granny, Great-Granny, Aunt, sister, daughter, and friend to many. She leaves a legacy of love, faith, and service. As a co-founder, teacher and director of the pre-school at Gethsemane Lutheran in Chalmette, LA, the Lord worked through her to nurture and shape the hearts and minds of young children. Her impact extended far beyond the classroom, as she was a faithful Pastor's wife, Sunday school teacher, confirmation teacher, and youth group leader, where she mentored generations of people in their faith journeys across Mississippi, Louisiana and Texas. Anne also taught elementary school for many years in Industry and Sealy touching the lives of many students. Anne was always willing to help those in need. In retirement, she volunteered reading to toddlers and preschoolers at Christ Lutheran Day School. Anne enjoyed reading, camping, dancing, traveling, and being with family, especially spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her life was a living testament to the grace and mercy of God. She will be greatly missed.
