Ann Schmid

February 20, 1937 — July 25, 2018

Mrs. Ann Shirley Schmid, born on February 20, 1937 in Nelsonville Texas, to the late August Adolph Tiemann and the late Francis Leone Tiemann, passed away at the age of eighty-one on July 25, 2018.

Ann attended elementary school in Kenny, Texas and graduated from Bellville High School in 1955.

Before devoting life to her family, Ann worked at the New York Store’s in both Bellville and Brenham as well as the Credit Bureau in Brenham. She also devoted her time to her church as a vacation bible school teacher, as well as a Sunday school teacher.

Ann is survived by her husband of sixty-two years Ernest Schmid, and son’s Mark Schmid and his wife Sheryl, Russell Schmid and his wife Landy, daughter Lisa Schmid and her fiancé Danny Beal. Her sisters Betty Meischen and her husband Will Louis, Jeanette Shepherd and her husband M.H. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Kirby Laird and his wife Natajia, Zoe Braman and her husband Thomas, Regan Laird, Madison Schmid, Abigail Schmid, Eric Schmid, and Emily Lambrecht. As well as three great-grandchildren, Jaden Parker, Oliver Laird, and Isabella Braman.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 28, 2018 at Memorial Oaks Chapel, with Rev. Dan Hannon officiating. Burial will follow in Prairie Lea Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. Friday at Memorial Oaks Chapel.
