Ann Haigh

Ann Lemm Haigh, 76, of Houston, died peacefully on June 2, 2023.

Ann was born in Brenham, Texas on September 17, 1946 to Clara Sommer Lemm and Paul J. Lemm Jr.  Survivors include Susan and Neil H. McLaurin III, Nancy Low, Bridget and Neil H. McLaurin IV and their daughter Ellie, Ted Low V and his daughter Lilly, Marilyn and John A. Sommer Jr. and their daughter Lindy, and Kelleigh and Richard Sommer and their son Sam.

Ann was preceded in death by her mother Clara and father Paul J. Lemm Jr., Ted Low IV, John A. Sommer and many other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Brenham was Ann’s childhood home, then she attended Trinity University in San Antonio.  Ann lived most of her adult life in Houston.

Ann was an experienced business manager, beginning her career with Kwik Kopy.  Later she was the owner of Ann’s Creative Framing and Antiques.  She ended her career as a mortgage lender, most recently with Sente Mortgage.

Her affiliations included Beta Sigma Phi, a social and service sorority; Executive Women in Golf; Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo; Women in Mortgage Banking and the Houston Museum of Fine Arts.

A strong Christian, Ann was an active member of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church and a member of the Sojourners class for many years.

Ann loved life, her many friends, her precious Westie Lucy, parties and fine dining, the Texas Aggies, her Texas roots, antiques, golf and gardening.  Ann lit up every room she entered.

A visitation is scheduled from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 6 at Memorial Oaks Chapel at 1306 West Main Street, Brenham, Texas. A graveside service for family and close friends will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 6, 2023 at Prairie Lea Cemetery in Brenham.  Pall Bearers will be Ted Low, Neil McLaurin, John Sommer, Richard Sommer, Sam Sommer, Steve Witt, Curtis Mundie and Hub Baker.  A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 9, 2023 at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church 3471 Westheimer Road, Houston, TX..
