Anita Wessinger

February 13, 1917 — December 14, 2003

Anita Schram Wessinger, 86, of Brenham, and the widow of Leo Wessinger died December 14, 2003 at Trinity Medical Center in Brenham. She was born February 13, 1917, in Washington County, Texas, the daughter of Fritz and Agnes Malkey Schram. Mrs. Wessinger received her education in Washington County and was a homemaker. Anita was presently making her home at the Brenham Rest Home in Brenham. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post # 7104 in Brenham. Survivors include her grandsons, Darrell Monroe and wife Clare of Deer Park, Texas, and Keith Monroe of Bayvillage, Ohio; great-grandchildren, Caleb and Martha Rose Monroe; daughter-in-law, Martha Monroe of Brenham; and sister, Ella Thompson of Houston, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Bobby G. Monroe, two brothers and 1 sister. A graveside service for Anita Schram Wessinger will be held at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, December 18, 2003, in the Prairie Lea Cemetery, with pastor Virgil Pecht officiating. Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 West Main Street, Brenham, Texas 77833.
