Andrea Christian

Andrea Leigh Christian of Brenham passed away on March 10, 2021. She was born June 12, 1975 in Houston, TX to Kenneth and Pamela (Bean) Kuecker The family moved to Brenham in 1983 and Andrea was later confirmed at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. She graduated from Brenham  High School where she was a proud member of the band. Andrea then earned an Associates Degree from Blinn College, and inspired to be a teacher by her cousin Amanda Bean-Aguilar, she transferred to U.T.San Antonio. She lived with her Aunt Sandra and Uncle Randy McIntosh in San Antonio where she met her future husband Charles Christian. They were married May 20, 2000 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Brenham. Despite being a newlywed and living away from family for the first time in her life, Andrea completed her Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education at U.T.S.A. in 2001. She had a passion for reading and decided to use her degree as a scorer of the reading portion of state assessment tests for students instead of teaching.

Charles and Andrea did not have children, but, their love for animals led them to adopt 2 fur babies. Austin was her copilot in the car and television watching companion for 13 years. Hugo was her snuggle buddy for 2 years and both of them are by her side in Heaven.In addition to her passion for reading, Andrea also loved many types of music, art, coloring, and numerous television shows that she followed regularly. She also kept in close contact with her circle of friends from high school and they would talk for hours either in person or on the phone. She treasured those moments with them so very much.

Andrea was preceded in death by her Grandparents Clarence and Dorothy Kuecker; Cliff and LaVaughn Bean; and Uncle James Newbury. She is survived by her loving husband of 20 years Charles Christian, parents Kenneth and Pamela Kuecker; brother Russell Kuecker (Brandi) and nephew Braeden; Aunts Sharon Newbury and Sandra McIntosh (Randy), Uncle Curtis Bean (Gail); cousins Jennifer McIntosh and daughter Mariah, Matthew Newbury, and Amanda Bean-Aguilar (Leti); brother-in-law Raymond Christian (Stephanie) children Emilie and Collin; along with many other cousins and family members.

In lieu of flowers friends and family may honor Andrea's love for animals by donating to a rescue or shelter of their choice.
