Alvin Edgar Lehmann, 93, of Brenham, TX, passed away peacefully on December 22, 2021.
A visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m., Sunday, December 26, 2021 at Memorial Oaks Chapel.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 27, 2021 at Salem Lutheran Church with Dr. Craig Dohse officiating. Burial will follow at Prairie Lea Cemetery.
Alvin was born on October 10, 1928 in Brenham, TX to Edgar and Viola Hill Lehmann. He married his wife, Frances Bayer, on November 24, 1957. Alvin began his career as a radio repairman back before tv’s were in homes. His career then changed to a tv repairman, tv antenna installer, and appliance salesman. Alvin and wife Frances owned and operated Lehmann TV for over fifty years and were known to be very generous people. Alvin was a multi gallon blood donor to Red Cross. After retirement, he enjoyed working with his cattle, riding his tractor around the Lehmann Bottom Farm and being with his grandkids. Alvin loved to visit with friends at the coffee shop.
He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Tracy Lehmann of Brenham, TX, and Alan and Airin Lehmann of Fort Worth, TX; daughters and sons-in-law, Pam and Gary Grantham of Brenham, TX, and Linda and Joel Brock of Somerville, TX; sister, Caroline Fagan of Temple, TX; sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Melvin Schilling of La Grange, TX; grandchildren, Neil Mueller and special friend Estefani Silva, Whitney and Floyd Ingram, Travis Lehmann, Juliana Lehmann, Lydia Brock, Seth Brock, Jordan Lehmann, and Kaylin Lehmann; great-grandchildren, Amalia Mueller, Johann Mueller, and Tyler Lehmann.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Frances Lehmann; parents, Edgar and Viola Lehmann; and sister, Verlin Mertz.
Memorials may be directed to Salem Lutheran Church or Hospice Brazos Valley.
