Alisha Rae Hopkins, 39, of Brenham, TX left this earthly world behind on January 16th, 2023 to be with her Lord and Savior.
Alisha was born to Harlan and Jane Wunderlich Afflerbach on April 23, 1983. Alisha graduated from Brenham High School in 2001 and went on to receive a degree from Blinn College. After college she started working in the family business being an apartment manager at both BrenSha Heights and Cortin Village apartments.
Alisha married her husband, Brett Hopkins, August 2, 2008. She had three children, Lily, 12 and twins Emily and Joshua, 5. Her children were everything to her and she stopped at nothing to take care of them and to ensure their happiness.
Alisha loved to be involved with different things. First and foremost, she was a faithful member of the Church of Christ. She spent countless hours involved with Citadel Christian School where her children attended. Additionally, she sold Mary Kay. She loved doing different crafts especially with the kids. She also enjoyed baking when she had free time. Alisha was the type of person where if she chose to do something she jumped in 100% and did not give up! She enjoyed vacations to see different states and taking trips to Disney.
Alisha is survived by her husband, Brett; her children, Lily, Emily and Joshua; her parents, Harlan and Jane Afflerbach; her in-laws, Lisa and Skip Hopkins; her brother and sister-in-law, Brent and Jeanette Afflerbach and their children Kasen and Kenna; her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Brian and Kelly Hopkins and their children Henry and Lincoln; and numerous other relatives.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents.
Alisha will be dearly missed by her three children and husband and all her family and friends.
Serving as pallbearers will be Brent Afflerbach, Brian Hopkins, Skip Hopkins, Ricky Frey, Jeff Daniels and Robert Taylor.
Visitation will be held from 7:00am to 7:00pm with the family present from 4:00pm to 7:00pm Friday, January 20, 2023 at Memorial Oaks Chapel in Brenham, TX.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00pm, Saturday, January 21, 2023 at Memorial Oaks Chapel with Jeff Trahan officiating. Burial will follow at Prairie Lea Cemetery.
