William Kellogg

William Lawrence Kellogg, 82, of Burton, husband of Benita Helm Kellogg, died January 15, 2008 in Burton. Mr. Kellogg was born April 29, 1925 in South Haven, Michigan to Lawrence Wheeler and Madalyn Guy Kellogg. He was confirmed March 29, 1953 at Zion Lutheran Church. On September 7, 1952, he married Benita Helm in Zion Lutheran Church. He served in the US Navy during World War II. Mr. Kellogg was a retired businessman. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Burton Lions Club, and served on the board of directors of Miracle Farms. Mr. Kellogg actively supported the community. His family was very important to him, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Bill was very much a people person. Survivors include his wife, Benita Kellogg of Burton; a son, Mike Kellogg and wife Linda of Navasota; daughter Linda Milligan and husband John of Washington, Tx.; ; grandchildren: Will Kellogg, Scott Milligan, Lisa Milligan Pahl, and Amy Milligan Behrends great-grandchildren: Madison Milligan, Kreese Milligan, Wyatt Pahl, Gage Pahl, Emma Pahl, Lindsey Behrends, and Caleb Behrends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Leona Kellogg and Madalyn Ulin; daughter, Deborah Kellogg; a son, Charles Kellogg; and a sister, Charlotte Hartley. Funeral services for William Bill Kellogg will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, January 18, 2008 at Christ Lutheran Church with Pastor Mike Button officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Park Cemetery on Lawndale in Houston at 1:30 p.m. A visitation with family and friends will take place Thursday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Serving as pallbearers are Scott Milligan, Will Kellogg, Galen Pahl, Clark Behrends, Don Thompson, and Tom McFall. Memorials may be given to Brenham State School or Miracle Farms. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main, Brenham.
