Lydia Hinze, 94, of The Colony, Tx. died February 7, 2012 at her son''s home. Lydia was born in Burton, Texas on July 30, 1917, the daughter of the late Wilhelm and Martha Rebarske Jaster. She was baptized on Sept. 9, 1917 at St. John Evangelical and Reformed Church in Burton, Texas and also was confirmed on March 20, 1932. Lydia Jaster Hinze attended Winedale School. In her earlier years she was a stay at home mom attending to the farm work which was her first love while also working for K&K sausage in Carmine. In her later years she worked for The Brenham State school and eventually retired from that enterprise on September the 9th 1989 after almost 11 years. She was married to Kenny C. Hinze on March 17, 1946, in St. John''s Evangelical and Reformed Church in Burton, Texas. She is survived by a son Kenney C, Hinze, Jr. of The Colony, Texas; grand-daughter, Nellie Jean Hinze of Dallas, Texas; grand-son and wife Mark Steve and Marnie Hinze of Norwalk, Conn; and one great-grandson, Carter Owen Hinze of Norwalk, Conn; two sisters-in-law; Iris Jaster of Oldenburg; and Lucille Leonhardt of Brenham, Texas and; nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Kenney C. Hinze; sister: Alwine Pohl and husband Kermit; three brothers: Willie Jaster and wife Mildred and Herbert Jaster and wife Evelyn; Edwin Jaster, and brothers-in-laws, Wilfred Hinze and Eric Hinze and one sister-in-law Della Long. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, Feb, 10, 2012 in St. John''s United Church of Christ in Burton with Rev. Glen Schoeneberg officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday Feb. 09, 2012 at Foehner Funeral Home in Burton. A prayer service will begin at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday Feb.09, 2012. Lydia Hinze''s pallbearers will be: Jeffrey Kunkel, Garrett Kunkel, Jacob Dopslauf, Troy Kunkel, Matt Jaster, and Ryan Paul Jaster Memorials may be given to St. John''s United Church of Christ Building Fun or Vitas Innovative Hospice Care, 8585 N.
