Herbert Faithauer

Herbert Faithauer, 94, of Brenham, widower of Linda Mae Hodde Faithauer, died June 6, 2010 in Brenham Rest Home. Herbert was born in Washington County on April 20, 1916 to William and Emma Hahn Faithauer. He attended Washington County area schools, and on Sept. 14, 1947, he married Linda Mae Hodde in Immanuel Lutheran Church of Wiedeville. For 27 years he worked for Brenham Produce, as well as being a dairy farmer. Survivors include two sons and one daughter-in-law, Herbert Wayne and Mary Jane Faithauer and Charles William Faithauer and Lisa A. Leverette, all of Brenham; one daughter and son-in-law Linda Rose and Douglas Brinkman of Lyons; five grandchildren: Anthony Faithauer, April and Donald Bilski, Justin Faithauer, Patrick Faithauer and Brian Faithauer; four great-grandchildren: Brittany Bilski, Shelby Bilski, Garett Bilski, and Sadie Faithauer; one sister Edna Plant of Brenham; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Alfred and Tina Hodde; brother-in-law Clarence Hodde. Preceding him in death were his wife, parents, two brothers and five sisters. Funeral services for Herbert Faithauer will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 8 at St. Paul''s Evangelical Lutheran Church. Pastors Lawrence Bade and Phillip Fenton will officiate. Burial will follow at Prairie Lea Cemetery. The family will receive friends and relatives Monday evening at Memorial Oaks Chapel form 5:30 until 7:30 p.m. Serving as pallbearers are his nephews: Arthur Scott Hodde, Robert Hodde, Jon Hodde, Buford Carr, Danny Muegge, and John Supak. Memorials may be directed to St. Paul''s Evangelical Lutheran Church. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main, Brenham. 979836-4564.
