Frank Schramm

Frank Schramm, 100, of Shelby, husband of Marie Lehmann Schramm, passed away February 14, 2008 in Trinity Care Center in Brenham. Mr. Schramm was born July 25, 1907 in Skull Creek, Austin County, to Willie and Anna Marie Dunkel Schramm. He was baptized and later confirmed at St. Paul Lutheran Church of Shelby. He was educated in Skull Creek schools. On September 29, 1935, he married Marie Lehmann in the home of her parents. Mr. Schramm was a farmer in the Shelby community of Austin County. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Shelby, the Shelby Hall and Shelby Fire Department. Survivors include his wife, Marie Schramm of Shelby; daughter, Anna Marie Benado of Shelby, and a son, Charlie Schramm, of Shelby; sisters, Doris Schramm of New Ulm; Edith Pfeffer of Carmine; Emma Schramm of Bleiblerville; Ruby and Edgar Dudensing of New Ulm; Ida and Olin Weber of Houston, and Lorene and Thomas Holub of Weimar; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and four sisters. Funeral services for Frank Schramm will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, February 18, 2008 at St. Paul Lutheran Church of Shelby with Pastor Linda J. Mosley officiating. Burial will follow in Shelby Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are relatives and friends. Memorials may be given to the Haw Creek and Shelby Cemetery Associations, or the Keith Bartels Scholarship Fund, c/o Industry State Bank. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel.
