Elsie Boortz

Elsie Boortz, 89, of Brenham, died July 24, 2005, in Kruse Memorial Lutheran Village in Brenham. Miss Boortz was born December 27, 1915, in Brenham, Texas, to Henry and Mathilda Hahn Boortz. She was baptized and confirmed in St. John Lutheran Church of Prairie Hill. Miss Boortz was a homemaker. Survivors include numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and six sisters. The funeral service will be at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, July 28 in Memorial Oaks Chapel with Pastor Virgil Pecht officiating. A private graveside service will be held at St. John Lutheran Church Cemetery in Prairie Hill. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main St., in Brenham.
