Anneta Rueter, 81, widow of Roy William Rueter, died December 14, 2007 in Trinity Medical Center. Mrs. Rueter was born August 29, 1926 in Graves County, Kentucky to William Eret and Allie Emma Ward Brown. She was baptized in 1942 in Lynnville Church of Christ in Lynnville, Kentucky, and attended Cedenia High School in Kentucky. On November 10, 1947, she married Roy William Rueter in Seguin, Texas. Mr. Rueter preceded her in death in March 21, 2001. Mrs. Rueter was a homemaker. She was a member of the Fairbanks Lioness Club, the Greenvine Baptist Church, and Fellowship Baptist Church. Ann enjoyed attending auctions, always looking to add a new treasure to her collection of dolls and antiques. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, and played a competitive game of dominoes. Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law: Roy Allen and Lori Rueter of Cypress; Gary and Clara Rueter of Brenham, and Tim and Sheila Rueter of Houston; grandchildren: Jennifer Vinklarek of Austin; Michael Rueter of Rome, Ga, Rebecca Stotts of Houston, Allie Rueter of Cypress, Jordan Rueter, Sloan Rueter, and Samuel Rueter, all of Houston; great-grandchildren: Ayden Stotts and Ethan Stotts of Houston, and Liam Rueter of Roma, Ga.; brothers and sisters-in-law Willie B. Brown and Carol Stanport of Brenham; Donald and Lynn Brown of Tennessee, and David and Fay Brown of Kentucky; sisters: Florence Kibbler of Kentucky; Velma Harris of Brenham; Ruby Lee of Tennessee, and Elwanda Morris of Kentucky. Funeral services for Anneta Rueter will be held Thursday, December 20 at 4:00 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Chapel, with Rev. Darran Donaldson offriciating. Burial will follow in Prairie Lea Cemetery. Visitation with family and friends will take place Wednesday, December 19 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Serving as pallbearers are Wayde Bage, Ronnie Genzer, Tommy Genzer, Gary Steen, Nathan Steen and Steven Vinklarek. Enrique Juarez will serve as honorary pallbearer. Memorials may be given to the Fellowship Baptist Church of Brenham. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main, Brenham, TX. 77833.
